It is a tourist attraction due to high quality art work in the building. It is made only of marble and stone. It is very artistic. This is why it has been said, "This temple in Houston is a graceful poetry in marble and stone that has its roots in the divine faith of generations of people."

This is a well-organized temple.
It was very active in raising funds for
the earthquake victims of Gujarat in 2001.
In the Houston temple there are statues of Lord Sri Krishna and Srimati Radha Ranee, as well as those of Shiva, Parvati (Durga) and their son Ganesh. However there are also many statues of Swami Narayan who was born in U.P. India in eighteen hundreds and who is considered by this Hindu sect as an incarnation of Lord Sri Krishna. There are also statues of other saints and swamis who are revered by the followers of this Hindu sect.
BAPS Swami Narayan organization is a very strong organization. Perhaps this is due to there being a living guru, named Pramukh Swami Maharaj who is so much respected that his statue is located right in the Houston temple.
