When we finally reached the temple, I rushed into the entrance of the main hall. I quickly took off my sandals to go inside and hear the interesting stories of Krishna which was told by a holy man. I noticed a lot of people in the temple. When we came in, before hearing the holy man speak, we bowed down to the statue of Krishna and Radha, then we all sat down. All the stories were very exciting as well as educational. Everyone listened eagerly. I noticed that no one was bored by the stories. As soon as he was done, I looked around the hall, looking at beautifully drawn pictures of a devout follower of Krishna.

After I glanced at the drawings, we all stood up in front of the statue of Krishna and Radha and chanted, "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare". We were all clapping loudly and chanting the prayer. Soon afterwards, some started to dance and play musical instruments while the rest clapped and chanted even louder. The music also started to go faster and faster. It soon become very joyous and gave me a very postive feeling. Everyone participated. Some chanted the lords name, some danced, and some played music. As we chanted and clapped, there was a man sprinkling holy water on all of us. The instrument I noticed the most being played were drums. When it was finished, we went outside, my brother and I then played on the seesaw and played a little basketball on the court when my father called us in for prasad.

There were rice, vegetables, and all kinds of delicious food to eat. There was quite a variety. I ate every bite. After prasad, I went out again and played on the swings and ran around a bit until it was time to go. I really wish I could have stayed there longer though. I look forward to going back to the Hare Krishna next and every other Sunday.
