An Opening Prayer that is recited at the beginning of any Hindu worship

mangalam bhagavan vishnuh
mangalam garuda dhwaja
mangalam pundarika aksha
mangalayatan harih

Translation in English

May auspiciousness be unto Lord Vishnu.
May all auspiciousness be unto Garuda (the Eagle, King of all Birds) who rides the flagstaff of the Lord.
May all auspiciousness be unto the Lord with lotus-like eyes.
That Lord Hari is (the seat of) all auspiciousness.
