FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 4, 2026 (ATLANTA, GA) – The Association for Dental Safety (ADS) has initiated a national search for its next Executive Director as Michelle Lee, concludes her service in the role effective March 27, 2026. Lee has served as Executive Director for seven and a half years, guiding the organization through a period of strategic growth and change. During her tenure, ADS strengthened its national presence in dental infection prevention and patient safety, transitioned and rebranded from the Organization for Safety Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) to ADS, and established the ADS Institute for Dental Safety and Science in response to shifts within the federal oral health landscape. Throughout her leadership, Lee emphasized collaboration as foundational to advancing a culture of safety — fostering strong relationships across associations, federal partners, educators, industry, and practitioners. “The Board is grateful for Michelle’s leadership and the steady direction she provided during an important chapter in ADS’s history,” said Julie Lynch, Chair of the ADS Board of Directors. “The organization is well-positioned for continued impact, and we look forward to identifying the next leader to build upon that strong foundation.” The search committee, chaired by Lynch, will work in partnership with Etherio’s association management team to conduct a national search.
