Policymakers in oral health have moved the practice of antibiotic stewardship forward by drafting policy statements, enacting policy, and providing resources for leaders in oral health to promote the safe and judicious use of antibiotics. Interdisciplinary stakeholders have contributed to the policy statements, toolkits, clinical practice guidelines, and the resources listed below. Success has been found in developing tools through interdisciplinary teams that focus on shared decision making with the patient.
